Hand Shadow Theater Workshop
Another fun Little Monsters event has taken place! Though our project is nearing its end, it's great to see our circle of friends growing even larger. A huge thank you to our new friends: the private nursery-kindergarten Savas Darželis and the hand shadow theater Budrugana Lietuva!
Another fun Little Monsters event has taken place! Though our project is nearing its end, it's great to see our circle of friends growing even larger. A huge thank you to our new friends: the private nursery-kindergarten Savas Darželis and the hand shadow theater Budrugana Lietuva! The workshop was led by Eglė Agota Matulytė and Adelina S. Šimonė—actresses of Budrugana Lietuva, theater educators, and pioneers of the hand shadow theater technique in Lithuania.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
During the creative workshop, actresses Eglė Agota and Adelina helped participants unlock the shadow figures hidden within their own hands, bringing a touch of magic into their movements and lives.
Workshop participants:
🖐 Explored exercises that develop hand flexibility and mobility.
🌑 Discovered the true origins of shadow theater.
🏠 Learned what tools are needed to create a shadow theater at home.
🎭 Created and improvised using only their hands, forming various shadow characters.
The workshop leaders promise—after this experience, your hands will never feel empty again! 🤲✨
